The Tall Ships Races 2025

As the region sets sail for its most significant event in decades, the North-East of Scotland is the perfect destination to host The Tall Ships Races. Taking the majestic fleet through the English channel and North Sea to Le Havre, Dunkirk, Aberdeen, Kristiansand and Esbjerg, Aberdeen is proud to be serving this significant event again since it's last time in 1997. 

Expected to attract 400,000 visits from 19 to 22 July 2025, around 50 Tall Ships from around the globe will descend on the city for the four day festival, which is Europe’s largest free family event. Quaysides at Port of Aberdeen’s North Harbour and the North end of Union Street will be transformed into a world-class events venue, with public access onto ships, parades, awards, live music and much more.
