Stonehaven Land Train
Stonehaven Land Train’s route is from Market Square in the centre of Stonehaven, it then travels to Dunnottar Castle for its first stop. Passengers can get off at this stop to visit Dunnottar Castle and either walk back to Stonehaven on the cliff path or take the Land Train back on one of its next trips. The second stop is Stonehaven Harbour where passengers can visit the Tolbooth Museum and the some of the good restaurants and cafes at this end of Stonehaven. The next stop is the Caravan Park which is next to Stonehaven’s heated Open Air Pool and Leisure Centre, the soft play centre and food is available at the café’s and fish and chip shop. Finally the train returns to Market Square where passengers can shop in the local shops and where there are more café’s and restaurants. The full trip takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you have your ticket you are able to get off and back on where there are sets available. Please note that operation of the Land Train is weather dependant and any updates to times can be found on the facebook page or the website.
Parking is available in and around Market Square and at the Leisure Centre.
Public toilets are available near Market Square, at the Harbour and the Leisure Centre.
