Award-winning SOUL is set in the heart of the city, on Union Street, in the former Church of Scotland’s Langstane Kirk.
In 2005, independently and locally owned PBDevco bought the 145-year-old B-listed building and transformed it into a chic restaurant and late-night bar. The unique vibe – the combination of tradition and history, showcased with the beautiful original architecture, colourful stained-glass windows of the old church, with opulent décor and modern lighting, SOUL is something very special in Aberdeen.
Within the 200-seater family-friendly Restaurant, SOUL serves fresh, local, and seasonal food from 12 pm until 9 pm. Whilst behind the bar, there is a vast array of drinks - from deluxe spirits, wines, local beers, and soft drinks to our award-winning cocktails. So, it is a wonderful place for lunch, nibbles, dinner, or drinks.
During the day and weekday early evenings, chilled-out playlists build up to funky house tunes – perfect for casual food and drinks with friends and family. Whilst the ambience in SOUL on a Friday and Saturday night is genuinely unrivalled – the place is buzzing from early evening right through to when they close our doors. Our house musician, Paul Black, sets the tone with his upbeat live music before resident DJ, Liam Gall, spins the decks until the early hours.
