Red Moss of Netherley Reserve - Scottish Wildlife Trust
Red Moss of Netherley contains a variety of habitats including a raised bog with open pools, fen, marsh and woodland to walk around and enjoy.
Much of the bog is dominated by heather although other characteristic bog plants are also found, such as sundews and bog asphodel.
May to August are the best times to visit for bog plants and insects.
Head north out of Stonehaven along the B979 for five miles, before taking a sharp right - coming back on yourself - to reach the reserve. The reserve entrance is next to the bus stop.
Getting onto the reserve
Follow the access path next to the bus stop to get onto the reserve.
