Savour the flavours: A delicious journey at Taste of Buchan 2025

After much success from its initial launch in 2024, the S5 and S6 Travel and Tourism pupils of Peterhead Academy are gearing up for another year of Taste of Buchan. The local event planned and organised by the pupils will be held on Thursday 27 February 2025 at the Palace Hotel in Peterhead from 12:30pm – 15:30pm.
This project was launched as a DYW Collaborative Partnership between Peterhead Academy and VisitAberdeenshire, aimed at providing young people with industry insights and inspiring the next generation of tourism professionals.
As part of the level 6 course, students are tasked with planning and running an event and what better way to do so than by bringing the community together to support local businesses and celebrate the exceptional food and drink the North-east has to offer? With a mix of returning favourites and exciting new participants, this year’s Taste of Buchan promises to be a memorable and successful event.

What’s in store for 2025
New to 2025, the free event is proudly sponsored by Costco, with members of the team heading to Taste of Buchan with some tasty goodies on offer. This event showcases the best of Buchan’s vibrant local produce and culinary traditions, with dishes crafted by talented local farmers, producers and chefs. Some of the wonderful participants include Rora Dairy, The Green Cocoa Team, Dough & Co and SYMPOSIUM Coffee House.
It’s also free to the public, meaning anyone interested can come along to support this initiative, whilst of course celebrating the many local delights available!
From fresh seafood and sweet treats to refreshing drinks, Taste of Buchan offers a vibrant showcase of flavours that truly capture the heart and soul of the Buchan community. The team at Peterhead Academy welcome everyone and look forward to seeing you there for a day filled with great food, company and atmosphere.
