Only two weeks to go until the return of Provenance Festival!

Arriving to the region from the 21 – 29 September, locals and visitors can join North East Scotland’s food and drink producers for unforgettable, hands on and engaging experiences.

What’s on

The nine day festival offers you the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn from the people who make our sustainable and well loved food and drink produce.

With 59 participants set to get involved in the action, events held throughout the festival will take place across the region and will include both past favourites and entirely new experiences that celebrate the authenticity, quality and provenance of the North East of Scotland. 

From blending your own herbal tea, tasting the finest of our beloved whisky or indulging in a fine dining experience, Provenance Festival offers cherished memories and bespoke experiences for everyone.

Tullynessle Deer Farm

Delivering an all-round new experience, Tullynessle Deer Farm is offering visitors the opportunity to get behind the scenes from visiting the stags themselves, to being prepped on how to cook Scotland’s only truly native meat venison.

Surrounded by the stunning Aberdeenshire forest, visitors have the choice to embark on a forest walk to discover more about the handling and managing of the herd.

Ardnamurchan Distillery x FAW

Ardnamurchan Distillery is collaborating with Freedom An’ Whisky for a tasting session hosted at The Sandman Signature Hotel throughout the course of the festival.

Since 2014, Ardnamurchan Distillery have devoted much focus into the quality of their whisky’s, making sure every drop embraces their heritage, innovation and sustainable practices.

First timers to the festival, Freedom an’ Whisky provide the perfect location to enjoy a wee dram whilst in the surroundings of dark wood, traditional Scottish interiors and classic nibbles.

The Chester Hotel

The Chester Hotel, a cherished favourite in the heart of the city centre is offering guests an exclusive Provenance Specials Menu to celebrate the provenance of our Scottish larder.

Fieldfare CSA

Intrigued to discover food production that is sustainable and regenerative for both the local and land community?

Explore the open garden of Balmakewan Farm for free to discover how Fieldfare CSA organically grow their own vegetables, fruits and herbs.

Mill of Benholm Enterprise

The Mill of Benholm welcomes you to celebrate fruits, vegetables and harvest, with produce from their own heritage orchard and community garden, as well as local stalls and foods.

With a range of activities hosted around nature, farming and milling heritage, including tours of the Mill, enter for free to get involved in the action!
