Theatre, Scottish music, Christmas markets, food markets and gin festivals – this week in Aberdeen there is something to treat all your senses. Winter is coming and the Christmas markets are here to get us into the holiday feeling.
Based on the 1950’s Billy Wilder film of the same name, Sunset Boulevard is a compelling story of romance and obsession. Starring Ria Jones, Danny Mac and a full orchestra, you’ll be whisked into the world of luxury in what promises to be a spectacular event.

Iona Fyfe Trio at Aberdeen Folk Club
Aberdeenshire’s very own Iona Fyfe will be joined by Luc McNally and Charlie Grey at The Blue Lamp. Described as having “one of the most stunning voices on the circuit” in 2017, Fyfe became a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year and is currently working on her debut album.

Christmas Craft and Food Fair at Crathes
Starting to get into the Christmas spirit yet? The annual Christmas Craft and Food Fair at Crathes will help you get a head start on your Christmas shopping with over 60 exhibitors attending in their largest event to date.

The Thistle Street Food Market
It is foodie heaven as Thistle Street is closed off to make way for Aberdeen’s monthly food market showcasing the best in local produce. A treat for your senses, the market has something tantalising to satisfy your taste buds.

OriGINs – The Scottish Gin Festival at Duthie Park
OriGINS is a brand new festival featuring an extension range of purely Scottish Gins in the heart of Aberdeen City. There will also be some of the best local food and music from up and coming artists across Scotland.

Following last year’s sold out rally, the Aberdeen Strathspey and Reel Society return to the Tivoli for their annual celebration of traditional music. The Society’s orchestra is joined by fiddlers and accordionists from across Scotland, in a showcase evening that you won’t want to miss. You’ll struggle to keep your feet from tapping along with the fantastic music.

The American Women’s Association Holiday Craft Fair gives another glimpse of the holiday season. Featuring over 100 stalls and multiple raffles, you’ll find the perfect gift for that special someone in this family friendly event. All proceeds will go to the charity: Aberdeen Riding Club Hippotherapy SCIO.

Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts presents the classical ballet, Sleeping Beauty, with principal dancers from the Russian State Ballet. With music by Tchaikovsky, Sleeping Beauty is an enchanting fairy-tale suitable for all ages.
