It’s that time of year again, think golden crunchy leaves, crisp cool air and the stunning fiery views that grace our region. Autumn has arrived in the city and what better way to spend it than a delicious cup of coffee.
With International Coffee Day just around the corner, here are some of the cities delicious coffee spots, perfect for fuelling the start of your day, a cosy catch up with friends or for those beautifully slow mornings you wish would never end.
Books and Beans
A brilliantly brewed coffee and a good read, can you name a better combination?
Visit Books and Beans, a cosy Fair Trade coffeeshop and second hand book store in the city centre. Sip away on one of their gorgeously designed flat whites and select a book from the whopping 10,000 options on offer. Of course, there is a range of non coffee options to enjoy throughout your visit, such as tasty hot chocolates or flavoured teas.
Mount
Located across from Marischal College and Square, Mount Cafe is in the heart of the city centre and is perfect for when you are on the go and need some time to relax! It's founders Jack and Lauren have a deep passion for the outdoors and so created an outdoor coffee experience, inside.
This artisan café even hosts it's own book club, enabling visitors to share their love of reading whilst sipping on beautifully crafted coffee.
Greyhope Bay
If you're keen to spot some dolphins, then you’re in the right place!
Mount also operates a café at Greyhope Bay.
This location provides not only amazing views of the beloved dolphins, but offers stunning views of Aberdeen city, coast and harbour. Being the first and only café in the city to operate off-grid, Greyhope Bay use a hybrid energy and circular rain water treatment technology to run its busy café.
After welcoming popular coffee spot Mount into their space, Greyhope Bay have established a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that provides delicious pick me ups throughout the day.
Kava Street Coffee
Grab a taste of Aberdeen’s mobile coffee trailer and mocktail bar!
Kava Street Coffee joins a number of food trucks at Aberdeen Beach, serving up freshly roasted coffee by the seaside. Think hot chocolates topped with toasted marshmallows, lattes topped with cream, popcorn and drizzle and the ultimate milkshakes packed with vibrant flavours to enjoy– it’s a sweet tooths heaven!
With an outdoor seating area, grab your beverage of choice and relax to the sound of the waves.
Almondine
Where Paris meets Aberdeen…
Almondine, a gorgeous aesthetically pleasing patisserie not only offers the best macarons that Scotland has to offer, but a delectable choice of coffee to enjoy. This spot is the perfect Instagram worthy location and will no doubt leave you feeling like French royalty.
Based in the city centre, Almondine is an ideal place to fuel before your day of shopping!
