Fuel-up for your grand day out
The kids will need plenty of energy for their adventures, so why not make a stop at one of these eateries? Stop by Greyhope Bay to enjoy a hot chocolate, or coffee for the adults, and a sweet treat with a view! This has been recorded as the best place in the U.K. to spot Bottlenose dolphins from land.
For a light lunch and some delicious ice cream, pop into the Mackie’s 19.2 parlour in Marischal Square. If the sound of a community-driven café offering delicious local vegetarian and vegan dishes is more your style, then head to Foodstory for the ultimate treat!
The city is completed with an array of delightful parks and gardens, as well as the beloved Aberdeen Beach – why not pack a picnic and enjoy the beauty of our blooming landscape?

If you find yourself by the beach, then make sure you pay a visit to Codona’s Amusement Park! Here you will find endless entertainment for you and yours to enjoy, including ten-pin bowling, an arcade, mini-golf as well as plenty of options for food!
Close by you'll find the perfect spots for the kids to let off some steam! Discover Transition Extreme, an adventure centre that welcomes everyone regardless of ability to try out climbing, bouldering, skating and much more. Or visit the David Welch Winter Gardens, one of Europe’s largest indoor gardens and Scotland’s third most visited gardens filled with exotic and rare plants!
