The Gairnshiel route can be found near the village of Ballater which is located in the eastern gateway to the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, where countryside and nature come together.
Ballater is home to an array of cafes and lunch spots sure to satisfy you after your tough ascent.
Just extending over a 5km stretch, Gairnshiel is a relentless climb that rewards you with stunning views across the open surroundings.
