Jenni Fraser

A born and bred Aberdeen quine and fluent in Doric, I achieved a First Class Honours degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the city’s Robert Gordon University. During my university work placement I worked for the Tussaud Group, which aided me in securing a position after graduation at the London Eye, as a team leader within the Commercial Operations Department and then as Hospitality Co-ordinator. I also gained valuable work experience at the Deptford Council working alongside their Tourism Development Officer to organise the ‘Made in Deptford’ Festival.

I moved back to Scotland to take up a position with a Tourism Consultancy firm in Glasgow, where I gained excellent insights into tourism strategy and research. My wanderlust however got the better of me and for 3 months I travelled round South East Asia and Australia, which was a fantastic experience!

After spending a few years working within the Oil and Gas industry as Senior Administrator and Event Organiser, I was ready for a new challenge and undertook an HND in Healthcare (which makes me the offices designated First Aider). However, the pull of the Tourism Industry was never far away, and the opportunity to be an ambassador for Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire and promote the fantastic experiences the area has to offer - from dolphin spotting in the harbour, to walking in beautiful Old Aberdeen, and visiting one of our many fairy tale castles - was too much to ignore!
