Banchory Beer Festival - Not Just For Beer Lovers!

Some exciting news landed in my inbox when I was catching up with the lovely guys at Banchory Beer Festival – there’s going to be a prosecco tent! Hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen because this news is great.

Now, I have a number of friends that, if I pay them a visit without a bottle of prosecco in hand - on that one Friday evening every six months where we find time to visit each other - I run the risk of being turned away. Often when I'd suggest going to a beer festival, they'd take a lot of persuasion.

I am, in fact, a beer drinker.  I love a beer festival, but this doesn’t go down so well with a lot of my friends. So with the prosecco news, I thought I’d write a blog which pays tribute to my hops-hating friends...

I mean what’s not to love about a great beer festival like Banchory Beer Festival? There’s amazing food, great music, something nice to drink and you get to have a great time meeting new people.

There will be a great selection of beers, cider, rum and gin - if my aforementioned prosecco revelation didn’t take your fancy. Locally produced spirits Dark Matter Rum and Porter’s Gin are just some of the alternatives on offer. And local guys, FreshMex, will be on hand serving up some delicious Mexican styled local produce, not to mention other fab Sottish food providers!

The event runs across the weekend 12 – 14 August, with the Sunday open to all as a family-friendly event. Tickets can be purchased on their website. Please enjoy the festival responsibly.
